How do LUK’s Behavioral Health Urgent Care Walk-In Hours work?

Here’s a step-by-step explanation of how our walk-in hours work at our Behavioral Health Clinic:

1. Call or email our Central Referral team to find our current hours. Just like regular urgent care, you can either make an appointment at a time that works for you, or walk-in during our hours. We do recommend making an appointment to reduce your wait time while you are at the clinic. However, it is NOT REQUIRED as long as you show up during our active hours.

2. When you arrive at the Behavioral Health Clinic, you can check in at the front desk and tell them that you/your loved one are there for Urgent Care services. You should let them know if you have an appointment.

3. Once you are checked in, you will fill out some standard intake paperwork. This has some questions about symptoms, experiences, and demographic information. A member of our staff will also ask you questions to help figure out what kind of care you/your loved one may need.

4. If you did make an appointment in advance, you will meet with an Assessment Clinician when you are done with intake paperwork.

If you did not make an appointment in advance, there may be a short wait. Our Assessment Clinicians are usually available very quickly, or you can make an appointment for a later time if it is more convenient for you. In the rare case that there isn’t an opening for a longer amount of time, our staff will help book an appointment as soon as possible, and we will connect you with resources to bridge the gap.

5. Once you meet with an Assessment Clinician, they will help you figure out your next steps, and you will work together to make a treatment plan that fits your individual needs. If you need to be connected to another provider for more specialized goals, our team can also directly link you with a variety of local organizations who provide quality, specialized care.

Our staff will be here to support you in every step of your behavioral health journey!
