LUK offers a number of paid internships for undergraduate and master’s level students studying human services, psychology, or a related field, and who are ready to gain hands-on learning experience in a supportive environment. Interns are offered comprehensive training opportunities, including, but not limited to weekly one-hour supervision, agency and program orientation, and agency-wide trainings, and seminars. Interns earn certifications in: CPR/First Aid/AED, CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) crisis intervention, and QPR (Question. Persuade. Refer) and safeTALK suicide prevention. Placement opportunities are available across the agency, including clinical, case management, adventure-based/experiential learning, prevention/public health, administrative, and support services.

Responsibilities:
- Gain an understanding and commitment to LUK’s Mission, Vision, and Values and provide congruent services.
- Must be able to commit to 450+ hours of service over the course of a semester or year-long experience.
- Participate in the full program session (i.e., semester or year-long program).
- Provide quality services to all consumers.
- Attend and participate in required training opportunities.
- Attend and participate in weekly supervision as well as staff meetings.
Knowledge & Experience Required:
- Must be enrolled in an undergraduate or master’s level program from a degree-granting institution majoring in psychology, human services, or a related degree program.
- Desire to impact the community with positive change.
- Committed to continuous learning.
- Bilingual/bicultural candidates encouraged to apply.
