LUK is looking for eager and enthusiastic apprentices to join our Paid Apprenticeship Program. Apprentices gain hands-on-experience and training needed to enter the human services field with confidence and skills. Apprentices participate in a variety of training and field placement opportunities to learn about opportunities in the field, populations served, and job skills required to be successful. Apprentices will earn certifications in: CPR/First Aid/AED, CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) crisis intervention, and QPR (Question. Persuade. Refer) and safeTALK suicide prevention. Upon completion of an initial training, apprentices are matched with a placement that serves the need of the community and builds an apprentice’s skills. Apprentices are guided and supported in their work by qualified human services professionals.
LUK offers summer and year-round apprenticeships. Apprentices do not need to be affiliated with a school and/or college program.
