About Youth Mental Health First Aid
Just like regular first aid, Youth Mental Health First Aid is a way for adults (18+) who work with and/or care for young people (under 18) to help in times of crisis until there can be professional help. Learn how to:
- Recognize common signs and symptoms of mental illness
- Listen effectively
- Offer reassurance
- Provide information based on their needs (social support, professional help, or crisis management)
- Handle a potential crisis
