Celebrating Black History Month: Local Black-Owned Businesses

Black History Month is a time to celebrate the great contributions and achievements of the Black community, and one way to do this is highlighting local Black-owned businesses. It’s important to recognize and support these businesses as they play a crucial role in creating more job opportunities and breaking down barriers.

To do this, we’re putting the spotlight on two students from Holy Cross, Sienna Ablorh and Dorean Asuako, who created a list of Black-owned businesses in the Worcester area. Thanks to their hard work, we can spread the word and make supporting local Black-owned businesses more accessible. You can check out their full list here. By supporting these local business owners, you are contributing to a more inclusive and equitable society.

Be sure to also check out this article by Discover Central MA on specifically local Black-owned restaurants, where they highlight local favorites in the Worcester community.
