DESCRIPTION:Save the Date for LUK\, Inc.’s 2025 Common Ground Community Event and Peace Walk on August 23rd! Update: Registration for Basketball Clinic opens August 4th. Questions? Contact YouthDevelopment@LUK.org \n\n\nJoin LUK Youth Development for food\, music\, activities\, and community at Common Ground! Start at the Upper Common gazebo to check in and take part in the Walk for Peace at 10:00 AM. Then\, youth in grades 5-8 can learn\, or practice\, their basketball skills at our Basketball Clinic while the rest of the family enjoys activities and prizes at the Community Resource Fair. No matter your age or interests\, there’s something to enjoy at this year’s Common Ground Community event! Due to limited space\, preregistration is suggested\, but day-of registrations are welcome if there are still spots available. Preregister by 8/22/25 at noon. All  youth MUST have a completed and signed permission slip to participate. Preregister\, learn more\, and get the Common Ground Basketball Clinic Permission Slip here. \n\n\nWalk for Peace: Begins at 10:00 AM at the Fitchburg Upper Common gazebo. Join LUK Youth Development and LUK’s Advocacy Advisory Board to support peace\, healthy habits\, and violence prevention in our community. Participants are encouraged to wear white  and bring a sign promoting peace! Limited T-Shirts will also be available \n\nBasketball Clinic: Begins at 10:30 at the JoAnne “Mama” Fitz Memorial Playground (55 North Street). Youth grades 5-8 are welcome to join our FIRST EVER Basketball Clinic! For the past 25 years\, Common Ground has focused on a basketball tournament\, and this year\, we want to get more youth involved and learning the game! ALL are welcome to learn how to play or to brush up on their skills\, no matter how much experience they have. Lunch is included for participants at this FREE clinic! *Note: Updated age range* Preregister\, learn more\, and get the Common Ground Basketball Clinic Permission Slip here.  \n\nCommunity Resource Fair: Begins at 10:30 at the JoAnne “Mama” Fitz Memorial Playground (55 North Street).
