LUK’s Cornerstone Group Home is a 12-bed Group Home, providing services to males, ages 14 – 21, and their families, in a safe, comfortable, home-like environment for youth who need a Group Home level of care. Cornerstone is managed through the Residential Services Division.
The services and length of stay varies in intensity and duration based upon the needs of the youth and family, and focuses on building independent living skills within a context of cultural responsiveness. Cornerstone staff are specially trained to support unaccompanied refugee minors. Some youth may have families of origin who are actively involved with their lives; some may have families of choice who are actively involved with their lives; some youth may be in the process of building their support systems. The intent of Cornerstone is to prepare youth for independent living.
