Education Coordinator (Located in North Central DCF Office): Individual will engage schools and Local Education Authorities in supporting children's permanent connections to caring adults and communities. Individual will ensure that children's educational rights under the Federal Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) and Chapter 766 are supported, via advocacy with district personnel and education of parents and guardians. Bachelors degree in Teaching or Guidance Counseling required. Master's degree in Special Education preferred; minimum of two years demonstrated experience advocating for the special education population required.
