DESCRIPTION:Becoming a foster parent \nFrom birth to age 22\, there are children and young adults that are in need of loving homes. Foster families reflect a variety of ethnicities and cultures and come in all forms and sizes. Foster parents may live anywhere in Central MA\, be married\, single\, or cohabiting\, and own or rent a property. \nBecoming a mentor \nOur Mentoring Program pairs youth who would benefit from additional support with caring and positive role models. A mentor helps young people make positive decisions\, encourages strong self-esteem\, boosts academic progress\, and exposes them to new ideas through engaging them in enjoyable activities.

Do you know a youth who is interested in Adventure-Based programming like rock climbing\, hiking\, or mountain biking? See if they’re eligible for this TREK scholarship opportunity! \n\n\n\nYouth are eligible for the TREK Fuller Foundation Scholarship if they live in Worcester or Boylston\, are available for the program dates\, and do not receive funding from another source (DPH\, DMS\, DCF). The TREK Adventure After School program runs April 23rd to June 13th\, and the TREK Synergy program runs during the MA public school April break\, which is the week of April 14th. \n\n\n\n\nTREK Adventure After School is available for all youth who meet these eligibility requirements. Find the form here. \nTwo recipients will be chosen to win a $500 scholarship each! \nRecipients of this award must meet the following criteria: \n\nYouth must be a 2024 graduating high school senior.\nYouth must currently reside in the North Central Massachusetts region: Ashburnham\, Ashby\, Ayer\, Baldwinville\, Barre\, Dunstable\, Fitchburg\, Gardner\, Groton\, Harvard\, Hubbardston\, Leominster\, Lunenburg\, Pepperell\, Shirley\, Templeton\, Townsend\, Westminster\, or Winchendon..\nYouth must be present to receive scholarship at the 25th Annual Youth Empowerment Summit May 2nd at The Boys and Girls Club of Fitchburg and Leominster gym (365 Lindell Ave\, Leominster\, MA 01453).\nYouth must demonstrate accomplishments in leadership and/or community service\n\nThe recipients will be chosen by a group of local professionals who work with youth and youth leaders in North Central MA\, who will evaluate and vote on nominees based on the following categories: Volunteering\, Extracurriculars\, Role-Modeling\, Leadership Qualities\, Grades\, and Reference Letter. The two recipients will be recognized and presented with the scholarship during the 25th Annual Youth Empowerment Summit during the Award Celebration May 2nd.
