DESCRIPTION:Apply to be a Youth Leader today! \nExperience youth-led Conflict Resolution\, Peer Mediation\, & Community Leadership \nLUK Youth Development’s Youth Leaders take part in a peer mediation program designed to address student conflicts as they arise\, preventing harmful conflict escalation. By getting students involved\, youth are encouraged and empowered to lead\, educate their peers\, and directly promote violence prevention. Activities include: \n\nLearning about conflict resolution strategies and how to implement them\nParticipating in local advocacy\, like events promoting peace and meetings with legislators\nWork with students at after-school clubs\, programs\, and activities\nEducate peers about bullying and violence prevention\n\nYouth must be at least 15 years old to participate. Youth work a maximum of 4 hours per week and are paid for their time. You can make an impact and help reduce violence in your community! \nApply by Friday\, June 6th on LUK’s Youth Leader Application form. Make sure to select “Youth Development Youth Leader” as the position.
