We’ll be hosting a Lightning basketball tournament\, a collaborative Peace Mural\, and activities for the whole family! Plus\, enjoy a bunch of different activities\, get some free food\, and grab back to school resources from community partners. \nSunday\, August 9th\, 2026\, 12:00 – 3:00 PM\, at Riverfront Park in Fitchburg (51 Commercial Street) \nAbout Common Ground\nLUK has been hosting Common Ground in some way\, shape\, or form since 1999! This event uses basketball as a way to bring people together and show that no matter our differences as people\, we can all find some common ground with each other. We have also historically hosted activities like the Peace Walk to empower youth to advocate for community peace. This year’s event will feature Lightning\, a type of basketball game\, and a collaborative Peace Mural. We can’t wait to see you there! \nAbout the Ready\, Set\, School! Block Party\nLUK is partnering with Fitchburg Public Schools and other local organizations to throw an exciting Back to School event\, Ready\, Set\, School!
