Per Diem Community Support Worker – Community & Family Support Services

Per Diem Community Support Workers work in LUK’s Community & Family Support Services division providing direct care to youth and adults with in the community.

 

There are a variety of options for Per Diem Community Support Workers including:

  • one on one hourly respite work with youth involved with a state agency,
  • adventure-based experiential learning in an outdoor group setting,
  • group and individual skill building and support with transitional aged youth and adults, and
  • providing supervised visitation for families involved with the Department of Children & Families (DCF).

 

Populations served are typically developing and neuro-diverse children/youth/adults with histories of trauma, multigenerational stressors, poverty, mental health concerns and systemic substance use/misuse.

 

With varied work options, working as a Per Diem Community Support Worker is a great, flexible position for someone who is in school for a human services related degree, for someone looking for a flexible part time job, or for someone who has experience working with individuals and wants to give back to the community. Staff receive regular group supervision and training, and are able to have flexible schedules with many opportunities to work non-traditional hours (evenings, weekends, etc.).
