Description of Services
The development of positive, trusting relationships with the youth we encounter on the streets is the key to helping at-risk youth access the services they need to lead healthier, more productive lives. Our street outreach workers are a talented group of outreach professionals who “get” youth and care about their well-being.
Our street outreach program consists of:
- Street-based outreach services
- Survival aid, risk assessment, informal counseling, prevention education, health information, referrals to health and social service agencies, and crisis intervention.
- Community education and activities,
- Access to emergency shelter to prevent sexual abuse and exploitation of street youth and to increase the number of street youth leaving the streets.
- Additional prevention services are provided to at-risk youth through youth development events throughout the Central Massachusetts region.
