Description of Services

Community Action Teams, utilizing the CMCA model, emphasizes the use of local data to inform activity selection and the use of environmental strategies. CATs look for local data trends in relation to underage drinking. After identifying local trends, CATs plan activities from a menu of environmental interventions with each option designed to impact different areas of youth access to alcohol or raise community awareness on the individual and social costs of underage drinking. Select CAT intervention activities may include compliance check, shoulder taps, sticker shocks and efforts to strengthen enforcement of liquor laws.
