The LUK Mentoring Program pairs caring, concerned role models with youth who will benefit fron additional support. By sharing fun activities and exposing youth to new experiences, a mentor encourages positive choices, promotes high self-esteem, supports academic achievement and introduces the youth to new ideas. Volunteer mentors commit to at least spending one hour per week with a youth and are able to make that commitment for one year. Being a volunteer mentor is a rewarding experience. Other ways to help out include: joining our Mentoring Advisory Board, sponsoring an activity, donating tickets to an event, inviting LUK Mentoring to do a workplace presentation & encourage your friends to be mentors.
