FAAR
The LUK Family/Adolescent Assessment And Resiliency Program (FAAR) program is designed to reunify families and/or avoid long-tern out-of-home placement for at-risk youth. The FAAR model uniquely integrates three distinct service types (in-home family-based therapy, individual community-based youth support and respite) to provide a comprehensive assessment, stabilization, intensive family intervention and support for youth and families over an average treatment period of three (3) months. FAAR utilizes a strength-based approach and places strong emphasis on the family being actively involved throughout the process as well as involving and strengthening the extended family/community connections to assure that the family can identify and utilize resources within their own family system/community beyond the treatment period.
