Description of Services

FAAR services are available in the North Central, Worcester East, Worcester West and South Central DCF service areas.
Within seventy-two (72) hours of referral, an intake will be scheduled with the youth, family, DCF social worker and FAAR staff to begin the intensive home-based family services. FAAR includes three months of up to two hours weekly home-based therapy (family, parent, sibling, individual) with a liscensed or master's-level clinician, one hour weekly communitybased youth support, case management/case coordination with additional providers, a comprehensive Biopsychosocial Assessment, and regular service/transition planning. Finally, up to twenty-one days of respite in a professional foster home or facility-based assessment center are available for youth at any point during the program.
